Emergency Response Experience

When the phone rings in the Medical Alert Response Center, a highly-trained operator carefully handles your call to ensure you get the help you need quickly and efficiently. Whether it’s dealing with a serious emergency, alerting your Personal Responder for assistance, or even having a friendly chat – our Operators are there for you.

To serve the widest possible number of subscribers, the Response Center employs staff who are native speakers of languages other than English. Our operators are also trained to use the International Language Line for real time translation services in 140 languages. To ensure superior service and the safety of our subscribers, we maintain a completely redundant Monitoring Center that receives daily back up of all data and can be brought online immediately with no disruption of service, if the need arises.

If you are unable to communicate with the response team, the operator will attempt to contact you on the phone number registered to your account. If there is no answer on that phone, emergency help will be dispatched to the location listed on your account.

When a button is pressed the unit will announce “Calling For Help.” The unit will then say “Call Connected” and a live operator will come over the two-way speaker to offer assistance.

Wait until an operator comes on the line and let them know everything is okay.

If using an on the go system, the operator can verify your location by accessing your GPS.

No. Emergency services are provided by your local EMS and costs are determined by them.
